This document is a ‘shallow dive’ into the types of design interventions retailers are using to address the changing customer mindset post COVID-19. Looking through the lens of a customer, we’ve captured the solutions that retailers have currently implemented into their stores in order to comply with government guidelines to keep their staff and customers safe whilst in-store.

In our 60+ page report, we’ve covered a broad range of well-known high street retailers from tech and telco, through to activewear, department stores and beauty, with a plan to add more retailers over the coming months as we watch their strategies and approaches develop.

There is much more to be explored and many more lenses to look through (the staff, the business and the brand) to understand the full picture and provide us with a deeper dive to help formulate the actionable insights.

We always like to capture and share the raw research and observations to encourage conversations. This report provides an interesting insight into the first COVID-19 interventions currently in place in some UK retail stores. We hope you enjoy our findings.
